Torrent Suite Software 5.4 Help

Restart services

Currently, there is no method to restart a process using the Torrent Browser. The easiest approach is to is to shutdown and restart the server. Before restarting the server, make sure that no Ion PGM™ or Ion Proton™ Sequencers are uploading data to the server, otherwise the file transfer is interrupted.

After restarting a process, it continues from the point where it was interrupted, and no more user interaction is needed.

  1. Before restarting the server, ensure that no Ion PGM™ or Ion Proton™ Sequencers are uploading data to the server, otherwise the file transfer is interrupted.
  2. Shutdown and restart the server
  3. (Optional) Restart the processes using the scripts located in the /etc/init.d directory. For example, use the following command to restart the Crawler:
user@svr:/etc/init.d$ sudo /etc/init.d/ionCrawler restart Stopping crawler Starting crawler pid = 26025
  4. Verify that the processes are running using the ps ax | grep py command or the Torrent Browser UI.
    Note:

If the processes do not continue to run after being restarted, contact your Ion Torrent™ representative for assistance.
